Greece Property Market Overview
The Greek property market does not attract much investment attention from outside its region. Those that do buy there tend to do so as a holiday home, which is more of an emotional decision.
Even so most second home owners from Northern Europe tend to choose France, Spain or Italy rather than Greece. Partly because prices are no cheaper than the aforementioned markets and access is more difficult as cheap airlines don’t fly there as much and the plethora of islands makes getting around just that bit more difficult.
If one loves Greece and wishes to spend a lot of time there then why not buy a second home there, but otherwise the Greek property market offers few reasons as to why to invest there.
If there was significant economy improvements or if cheap airlines started to fly there in greater numbers, potentially some areas could see significant price growth. Until this time investors’ money is best invested elsewhere.
