Immorent CR lays cornerstone
12th May 2008
Futurama Business Park, a new office complex being developed by Immorent CR in Prague 8–Karlín, has had its cornerstone laid. The ceremony was performed by Pavel Penk, a councillor of Prague 8, Immorent CR CEO Tomáš Velemínský and project development manager Petr Kabelka. The fourth “godfather” of the stone was architect Vladimír Krátký. Construction began on the site in April. “One month after the start of the first stage, after finishing groundwork, we are putting concrete at the bottom of the first office building of the project,” Velemínský said. The first stage includes construction of two buildings providing 16,000 square meters of office area, which is planned to be completed by the middle of 2009. Immorent has been operating on the Czech market since 1997. According to the Czech Leasing and Finance Association (CLFA), the company’s volume of new business in 2007 grew over Kc 6 billion (€238.6 million). Immorent CR is a subsidiary of Austrian company Immorent, which is one of the three largest leasing companies on the Austrian market and part of finance group Erste Bank.
Fulnek chateau for sell
Zámek Fulnek, a chateau in a town of the same name in North Moravia, is being sold at auction. The starting price is Kc 8 million for the complex of buildings and land. The company that is putting the chateau up for auction is Správa Lesu Fulnek (Forest Administration Fulnek). The reason for the auction is the continuing decay the building, as the forestry firm lacks funds for its upkeep. The auction will take place May 27 in Brno, South Moravia. Historically, the chateau used to be the seat of the Lords of Kravare and Žerotín, and the building’s history goes back to the 13th century. The town became famous thanks to the stay of Czech teacher, scientist, educator, and writer Jan Amos Komenský between 1618 and 1621.
Residence Albertov awaiting first tenants
The development division of Austria-based CTR Holding, though its subsidiary CTR Albertov, is building a residence called Albertov Rental Apartments in Prague 2–Vyšehrad. It already has its first inhabitants. The whole complex consists of six buildings between three and seven stories with 269 flats available. A 24-hour reception desk can help with arranging services. The project is unusual as all the flats are intended for lease instead of sale. The buildings include underground parking, and the complex includes a shopping center with a two-floor restaurant, supermarket, pharmacy, optician and a modern café. The project should be finished in the end of June 2008
